I was asked several times, how I do my restauration of vintage slotcars, so I decided to make a fast sample:
This is an old Jouef Ford GT40 - as you can see, he didn´t really get much love in the last years...
For the optical refreshment of the body I take cleaning polish of matted lacker, for the windows I take a chrome and aluminium maintance agent. You can get them in the most DIY and pimp my ride stores.
To show it better, I only cleaned the right side of the car. Normaly you take the body from the chassis. After 10 mins. of work we had this result:
Even the decals are on their place - only the paper stickers had to go...
Pay attention to remove all cleaning fluid (like here at the headlights) because it get hard as stone!.
